prayer & spiritual ministries

Step into a deeper life of prayer

These ministries focus on nurturing your personal relationship with God through prayer and spiritual growth. Deepen your inner spiritual life and grow closer to God through intentional prayer.

  • Step away from the busyness of life and spend quiet, meaningful time with the Lord. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is offered in the chapel every Tuesday from 9:15 am to 8:00 pm.

Between Labor Day and Memorial Day, Adoration will also take place every Wednesday from 9:15 am to 6pm. Whether you can come for a few minutes or stay longer, you are warmly invited to rest in His presence, pray, and be renewed. Come as you are—He is waiting for you.

Please email Kevin Savidge at kms32845@gmail.com for more information.

  • Be part of a beautiful mission of prayer and service. The Legion of Mary is an international apostolic organization, open to both men and women, dedicated to bringing Christ to others through acts of mercy. Members support one another in faith while serving in meaningful ways—visiting the sick, praying the Rosary with those in need, teaching the faith, and sharing the love of Christ throughout our community.

We gather weekly on Wednesdays at 10 am in the Parish Life Center Library. Whether you feel called to serve actively or support through prayer, there is a place for you here. Come and see how God can work through you.

Please email Rachel McGonigle at rmcg317@gmail.com for more information.

The unit of the Legion of Mary is called a praesidium, which holds a weekly meeting, where prayer is intermingled with reports and discussion. Persons who wish to join the Legion must apply for membership in a Praesidium.

The Legion sees as its priority the spiritual and social welfare of each individual. The members participate in the life of the parish through visitation of families, the sick, both in their homes and in hospitals and through collaboration in every apostolic and missionary undertaking sponsored by the parish.

Every legionary is required to carry out a weekly apostolic work in the spirit of faith and in union with Mary.

    • Ministry of the Pilgrim Virgin Statue “Mother of the Sorrowful Heart Pray for Us” Pope Francis has dedicated his pontificate to Our Lady of Fatima, who has told us through her message to the visionaries of the importance of praying the Rosary daily. “God has placed peace in her hands, and it is from the Immaculate Heart that men must ask it.” If you would like Our Lady to visit your home and further her mission of daily prayer and the rosary: contact Rachel McGonigle at 484-467-3704.

  • Be part of a compassionate and faith-filled mission to uphold the dignity of every human life. The Respect Life Committee works to deepen awareness and understanding of life issues through education, outreach, and support for those in need.

Together, we explore important topics such as end-of-life care, bioethics, human dignity, and the teachings of St. John Paul II. With hearts rooted in compassion and a desire to meet people where they are, we strive to be a source of hope and truth in our community. Join us in making a difference.

  • If your loved one who has drifted from the faith, you are not alone—and there is always hope. All are welcome to join us in this journey of faith, trust, and hope. This ministry emerged following a formal study at St. Basil’s using Brandon Vogt’s book RETURN: How to Draw Your Child Back to the Church.

Inspired by St. Monica’s faithful prayers for her son, St. Augustine, this ministry brings together parishioners to pray, learn, and support one another. Through meaningful discussion, guidance from Church teachings, and practical ways to reach out with love, we seek to gently guide our loved ones back to Christ.

Please email Beth Briglia at briglia208@comcast.net for additional information.

  • If you have a heart for hospitality and love celebrating the beauty of marriage, we would love to have you join our team. The Wedding Ministry walks with engaged couples as they prepare for the Sacrament of Marriage at St. Basil the Great Parish.

From planning the ceremony to offering support on the wedding day, this ministry ensures each couple feels welcomed, guided, and at peace. Share in the joy of helping couples begin their lifelong journey together in Christ.
